I enjoyed reading of this book, and will keep it around as a handy practical reference for equipment setup, patch cables and interconnect techniques. I found it to be presented in a logical and structured manner, yet written in a light and entertaining tone, peppered with a large number of photographs and useful diagrams. The inclusion of use and coverage of both digital and analog equipment is bound to keep the intimidation factor for new life stage technicians and casual users under control. Lastly, a large emphasis on safety and the hilarious diagrams are hard to miss and should keep everyone safe.
Great read for anybody working with sound equipment. I would also encourage leaders of mid to large size choirs to take a look at the chapters pertaining to sound checks,it would make the sound engineer's work that much easier. The language used is simple which means,if interested you will not be disappointed. For the more advanced engineers it is a gem to have especially when training someone in your crew . I think this is a must have if you call yourself a sound engineer or aspiringto be a proficient one. Well done....

I'm musician who plays live every week. My band plays i a number of different types of venues. This book explained things about getting good live sound that we can easily apply to what we do and get better overall sound. Excellent.
