I also have Doreen's archangel oracle cards and bought these for added variety. These cards are physically made well and have soft ethereal, beautiful, inspirational pictures and verses. I use a few times a week as a pick me up.
I have never used Oracle cards before and never really believed in them or at least did not think they would work with me. However, I have been on a spiritual journey and have run into several people that recommend them. Some had me give it a try and it seemed to work. I was also advised to speak to my angels which I was not in habit of doing. As soon as I got these cards, I got so many insightful, dead-on messages that were enormously helpful. I have had them a month and a half now and use them regularly. They are absolutely helping me to grow and let go of old negative thought patterns.
So I kept coming across these cards and felt an attraction to them for some time. I knew very little about guidance cards, but wanted to give them a try. I followed the directions and started shuffling. I would ask a question and get an appropriate card in response. I even asked the same question 3 times in a row and pulled the same card 3 times in a row. Another time I was trying to focus and use my cards, but my children were pestering me to go outside the entire time. The last card I pulled was a nature card, telling me to get fresh air. lol I took that as an answer to the kids pleading for outside playtime. You need to be open and have faith in this process. If you can do that, you do get amazing results. I was impressed and excited with them overall.

I bought these for my 19 year old daughter. She'd met a sales associate in a metaphysical shop who recommended Doreen's angel cards. She absolutely loves them. They got her through her internship in Europe. If she was feeling down or homesick she'd pull a card for guidance.
I loved them until I went to the author website and she has rebuked everything about new age for traditional religion.
I loved reading this little book. it's small but chocked-full of information ~fantastic imagery of how us Light-Workersvariously become incarnated.Get into the mind-frame of a child, with hope, faith, and fear -- let your imagination go ~Be open to All Possibilities, and you'll probably delight in this esoteric treasure as I did.I've watched some of Doreen Virtue's Youtube vids & I like her...I've read a few of her other books & in fact, THIS one, before, but I wanted the info for my libraryShe was expressly recommended by a psychic I went to ~~ who dared to tell me I was elemental(appreciated the outdoors/grew up outside alot)AND Starseed! I DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT!!It took about a year until I was able just to open up, and understand that different people have different ways ofinterpreting & describing "REALITY". I give Doreen aLOT of credit for having the guts to put hers OUT THERE --And she's *very successful in doing so (+ QUITE a prolific writer)A Light Worker, or EARTH ANGEL is (pg1) "a person who incarnated for the express purpose of helping the world be a better place."Giving her unique, but session-proved outlook (she used to be an esoteric psychotherapist--PhD in counseling psychology)--including also experienced by the famous past-life regressionist(p2-3)"All souls originate from the same Divine source... "the inside of everyone is the same: a beautiful, pristine spark of Divine light. However, as a lightworker, your spark of light may have spent time in heavenly realms far from earth... Not everyone is an Earth Angel...God called in the biggest and brightest sparks of light for the transition to the New Age of Peace."Doreen's ideas have spread, and there are many who share her views/similar views...And the book is full of anecdotes/opinions from various of her workshop attendees/website/patients.You might be an Earth Angel: Incarnated Angel, Elemental, Starperson, Wise One, or Merperson, Leprechaun, Knight Paladin (p4)I know this sounds whimsical, but if you keep in mind the great variation in human minds, you can understand that each of "figures it all out"in our own unique way!And it was fun/enjoyable to step into Doreen's (loving) world (of hope/encouragement), and see if I fit a character, which many of her followers relate to...For me, personally, I resonated with "Wise Ones" ~ "reincarnated wizards, High-Priestesses, Witches, Sorcerers and Sorceresses"(p10) ~~maybe it's just wishful thinking...but I related to descriptions (by Doreen AND other Wise Ones), such as:relates to Lord of the Rings & Harry Potter; intense interest in/devotion to astrology (since I was age 13!); oval face, large eyes...far-away stare of someone who sees beyond the physical universe, long hair; haunting/penetrating eyes-- "no point in pretending/lying to wise Ones, b/c truth is apparent to them"(p115); eccentric/mysterious~~ so following along this line, previous to this incarnation, I was happily enjoying retirement in the Afterlife, after many many many earth incarnations, where I "learned how to channel [my] power into miraculous healings and manifestations"~ affecting the weather/levitation/telekinesis etc -- an "extremely powerful & well-trained magician" ! That sounds pretty good to me (is there a grown-up Hogwarts?)As Doreen mentions herself, her book is akin to astrology texts where you look up "aspects" of yourself, etc, and hear descriptions that may or may not resonate... The fun is in the imaginative, and fairytale, and archetypal imageries made real.LOVE is a Most important quality of ALL Lightworkers/Earth Angels --WE ARE ALL HERE FOR LOVE!--and Doreen's message is ultimately one of inspiration, hope,& a majestic universe/Reality (WAY) beyond what (many of us) we imagine now--So, let your own imagination go,& enjoy a meander into the charming world of special Earth Angels ~~which one do you think YOU are ?!Kudos to you, Doreen Virtue~ you deserve your success for standing up bravely & sharing your uplifting messages of love with us...even though you "started to wonder if this topic might be too weird for them to consider"(p15) ~~haha! See, even angels can be down-to-earth!
bought these for a friend's birthday present. they're so perfect for my friend. i can't wait to see his reaction. i practiced alittle with the cards and they are wonderful. i really resonated with the words and pictures.
The cards are beautiful! The cards measure about 5 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide. They are made out a thick card-stock. They have shiny gold on the outside of the cards. The artwork I thought was beautiful and well done. I love the pictures. There is a 98 page guidebook as well that details the meanings of the cards and more pages beyond that for notes and details about who did the artwork. It makes it super easy to know what each card says. This is my favorite Doreen Virtue deck.UPDATE: Just wanted to ask if anyone else has had these readings from this deck: Before I asked the question the answer came. For instance, A card fell over as I was shuffling and the answer was, "Don't worry about it" and I was about to ask, was someone in my family, who hadn't reported back, and I was concerned if he was Ok. Turns out the next day, he was Ok. So the Angels answered before I even asked. Then before I had asked about myself, I was shuffling and going to ask another question but was debating which to ask when the card I just pulled as I was just shuffling to just see what it looked like, answered that question but again before I asked it. I thought that was awesome but just wondered if anyone else using this deck has experienced that too? Love this deck!
