 This is a really cute book with manga style characters with cute stuffed animal pets. The designs appealed to me for coloring along with my grandkids though some are a little too detailed for them at their current age. Not a problem because, along with the book, you can receive .pdf downloads (with directions included in the book once you purchase it.) While printing those copies is a great plus, I will be reviewing (and videoing and photo images) from the print copy.Lots of cute designs with both boys and girls featured, which is unusual because the focus in most coloring books I have come across are generally of girls.The designs are a little less detailed than most by Jade Summer but, again, that works great for me. It also makes it easier for those who have slight vision or motor skill issues or those who simply like quick and easy to color projects.I want to note that the Amazon owned company, CreateSpace is now being folded into KDF (Kindle Direct Publishing.) These independent artist books will move along into the new group shortly if they have not already done so by now. According to what I’ve read, the same warehouses and printing presses will be used. No mention is made of paper but one assumes that it will be the same as well.I don’t know if the copy I received was printed by CreateSpace or by KDP, but I can say that it is the same paper I am used to receiving (for years now) from CreateSpace. That is: thin, white, slightly rough, and non-perforated. I will continue to check books as I receive them and will note, in new reviews, if the quality changes.This is what I found in this coloring book:25 Unique Stuffed Animal Designs with 2 copies of each for 50 coloring pages plus a couple of bonus pages from other booksPrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by KDP/CreateSpace printing: white (with black printed on the back of each page), thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding. There is a thick framing line on each of the design pages,There are is a thumbprint index of all images at the front of the book.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityWhile the back of the is printed black to show less bleed through, be aware that there is bleed through and protect your work. I like to use a blotter when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.Alcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher’s paper provided you don’t press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and blended easily with a pencil style blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.

Not only is this coloring book totally adorable, but it's perfect for adults and children alike! I love the character styling, and each page is so unique! I ordered multiple copies of this because I knew I wouldn't want to share with my children. My 7-year-old son's least favorite activity is coloring (I know; how is he even my child?!), and he begged for a copy of this book! I'm still working on a couple of the pages that I'm coloring, but I'll update with my photos in a bit. Meanwhile, I have posted one of my son's adorable pages! The nice thing about this book is that it has super cute stuffed animal images and child characters (both boys and girls), and each page is duplicated so if you want to color the same image again, you have that option! I find Jade Summer books to be very economical also because each book contains a code to download a digital PDF copy of the book. This is nice for printing out additional images to color! Overall, this is a great value for the price! The cute animals really sold me on this book, and it's definitely my new favorite!

This coloring book is super cute, lots of fun characters to color. I bought this book for me because as an adult, I still love to color!Pros:Each page back is black and if you use markers, this prevents colors from bleeding throughAlso prevents two pages of colorings being rubbed against each otherLots of pages and all with full page designsCons:It's printed on copy paper, as opposed to that off white pulpy paper that color books are usually printed onIt doesn't take crayon very well. The wax has nothing to penetrate like it does on normal coloring book paperThe design is duplicated. Half way through the book, you'll get another repeat of the previous pages. For some this won't matter. Personally, I don't want to color the same page twice.All in all, I would still give this 4 stars. I just suggest you use it with markers or colored pencils and not for crayons.

Seriously...this IS. THE. CUTEST. coloring book I have EVER SEEN!!! Trust me, I go through a lot of them and I am VERY PICKY! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this coloring book! I just can't get enough of it. I also LOVE that each page is backed with black so I can use markers, I LOVE that there are 2 of each page so I can color 2 different versions of each design. This coloring book is worth EVERY PENNY!!!! The pictures are SO ADORABLE! If you are an adult or a buying for a child, I can't imagine ANYONE who wouldn't LOVE this book! BUY IT NOW!

This book is absolutely adorable with the cute over stuffed animals with absolutely adorable sweet faces and kawaii little bodies. If the animals are not cute enough there are multiple pages with adorable stuffed animal owners. The majority are girls but there are boys as well!This specific book is no longer produced by create space hover I cannot feel a difference. I have yet to have time to color in this book to compare it but I will update my post as soon as I can

Each book includes an access code and you can dwnload a PDF onto your computer and use a coloring app or print as many copies as you like saving your book or pass the book to a grandchild or someone who doesn't have computer access.

This book is so cute, it brings me back to my childhood days. Lol. I think I’ll try one with pencils cause the markers tend to be a little streaky. We will see how it comes out. Then I’ll have to try alcohol markers and see how that comes out. I’ll post them when I finish them.

So Cute!! Love this book!!! Jade Summers published so many beautiful boos. While I don’t like coloring mystical or horror, I do love most of her books and this one is a topper. So very fun to color. Will be buying more for Christmas presents!!

I just love this little book. It's not super graphic novel-y, really, but the story and the pictures are engaging and fun.

Amend once again delivers in what may be the last of the Foxtrot books, now that he's stopped doing the dailies that made up the bulk of these books. The collection is filled with the best of his last strips, and makes a great addition to the previous sets.

The kid in me always enjoys Jason and his family foibles. A timeless book anyone can enjoy... Add it to your collection...

I grew up reading Foxtrot. I loved the series. I read them before bed and they still make me laugh!!

Fox Trot is one of my sons favorite comic books. He has read this one many times!

Though I don't normally read the newspaper "funny pages," there are a few newspaper comics I particularly like and even love -- Bill Watterson's "Calvin and Hobbes," Gary Larson's "The Far Side," and even Jim Davis' "Garfield" on occasion. I confess, however, that until I found this collection in our local library I wasn't very familiar with Bill Amend's "FoxTrot" comic. I had seen a few strips of it shared on message boards, however, and knew it was an occasional source of geek humor, which I felt I can identify with. And the art style, while a little weird, seemed quirky and eye-catching. So I figured "why not?" and gave the book a flip-through.In the end, the comic failed to appeal to me. It's not a terrible comic, but it's certainly nothing groundbreaking or wonderful. It's pretty much the comic-strip equivalent of a sitcom, with over-the-top suburban-family humor and not much else."FoxTrot" focuses on the Fox family -- Roger, a typical bumbling white-collar-worker father; Andy, a stay-at-home mom obsessed with health food and disgusted with video games; Peter, the slacker teenager with a bottomless stomach; Paige, an air-headed teen girl who loves shopping and boys; and Jason, the geeky genius little brother who loves picking on his siblings and doting on his pet iguana Quincy. For the most part the strip gets its jokes and storylines from playing on and/or exaggerating the family dynamic. There's a few strips based on Roger's (vaguely defined) job, and once in awhile some nerd-oriented humor coming from Jason, mostly centered on whatever popular sci-fi or comic book movie is coming out soon but once in awhile delving into computer/video games or higher mathematics. Think of it as your typical family sitcom, with a bit of "Big Bang Theory" mixed in to appeal to the geek crowd.I think the biggest drawback with this strip is that the creator exaggerates EVERYTHING for the sake of humor, to the point where nothing feels realistic. Yes, humor can and frequently is derived from exaggeration, but quite often "FoxTrot's" tendency to go over the top in every aspect makes it seem far more ridiculous than humorous. Yes, I can buy that Jason is bright for his age -- no, I don't find myself chuckling when he finishes a difficult math final in under five seconds. Yes, I can buy that Peter is a typical big-eater teenager -- no, I don't do much more than roll my eyes when he single-handedly (single-mouthedly?) causes an all-you-can-eat buffet to run out of food. Yes, I can believe that Andy finds certain things on the Internet repugnant -- no, I don't buy that any mother, no matter how disgusted she is with what her kids find online, will dose a modem in disinfectant. "Zits" knows when to use exaggeration to good comedic effect, but it also knows when to stay grounded in reality and keep events a bit more realistic. "FoxTrot" goes over the top too many times for me to find the characters remotely relatable, and when everything is played up to eleven, it gets hard to find anything particularly funny.The art style is rather weird as well. Yes, every artist has their own style, and I don't expect every comic strip out there to have the exact same visual style (one of the problems I have with most manga is that too often it all looks the same). But the characters of "FoxTrot" look so wacky as to look almost alien -- constantly bugged-out eyes, prominent muzzles in place of mouths and chins, spindly limbs, etc. Backgrounds and other in-frame objects are rendered quite simplistic-ly, sometimes to the point where it's difficult to make out what a particular object is. And maybe I've been spoiled by "Calvin and Hobbes," which often took daring chances artistically and was never afraid to push the boundaries of what newspaper comics could do, but it feels like Bill Amend does little to nothing to try to make his comic visually appealing.As for the nerd jokes... most of them don't do a whole lot for me, a self-professed geek/nerd. Every once in awhile there'll be a particularly clever one, but for the most part they just seem to be "ha ha, look at how nerdy Jason is, aren't nerds weird?" I don't know if Bill Amend is something of a geek himself and is poking fun at himself, or if he sees nerds as an acceptable target, but most of his geek jokes just aren't very funny.While not a terrible comic, "FoxTrot" just doesn't "do it" for me. I won't seek out further collections of the comic, and will probably stick to "Calvin and Hobbes" for my comic-strip archive binging. Sorry, Mr. Amend.

Whenever I am down or am just having the worst day in the world, I usually need to read or watch something funny. A lot of times I read comics like Calvin and Hobbes and FoxTrot. FoxTrot is always funny and is able to get more than a laugh or two out of me. Here is another excellent FoxTrot collection by the great Bill Amend; "Encyclopedias Brown and White."There's more chaos and insanity going on in the Fox household than ever before. Jason is aggravating his sister, Paige, Roger is driving his wife up the wall, and Peter is eating just about anything he can get his hands on. They are still just as outrageous as ever and can still surprise us even when we think they can't do any better.Some of the stuff you will find in this collection:*Peter's cell phone*Detectives Jason and Marcus tries to solve a crime*Roger and his homemade wine*Paige's Robo-Pup*Varsity e-football (wha?)*Nosecracker dreams, and much more!I found this collection of FoxTrot comics to be extremely funny and entertaining. Amend never ceases to be funny and is always looking for something new and clever to write. These collections are also very easy to read over and over again, without it losing any of it's humor. Jason driving his sister insane is always fun to see!So if you love FoxTrot, then "Encyclopedias Brown and White" is the one for you. Filled with witty humor, outrageous situations, and memorable lines, this is a great read for anyone who's looking for a little humor and entertainment.

On my birthday (11 days ago) I asked mom to give me the FoxTrot collections, because I read some of them before, and it was pretty good.This collection with the cover showing Jason and Marcus burning ants, is one of my favorites, due to Phoebe coming over for summer and repeating the science camp thing all over again. It also carries comic strips about Roger making his own home-made wine and Jason competing against with his family computer, IFruit. Also, there are strips about Peter getting a cell phone, and Paige, a Robo-pup.Most of the strips end with another lessons for the characters, or with an unexpected answers to the story. Most of all, I get great joys when reading it, and I recommend it to EVERYONE.P.s. Literally EVERYONE

After reading the first few chapters (The chapters are very short) of Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" I wondered how anyone could be interested in such pompous, egotistical, aloof and self serving characters?After reading on I said, "Wow! How could I be so interested in such characters?"Getting toward the middle of the book, I was hoping that it would never end.By the end of the book, I fully realized what a magnificent piece of writing I had just read."Pride and Prejudice" is one of the best sociological studies about early nineteen century British loyalty and society I have ever read - where title, rank, fortune, and good looks are in many ways the requirements of an approved marriage, much, much more than love. In fact, this wonderful book might not be as relevant today as two hundred years ago, but there are still many traces of such societies throughout the world, today. It was not all that long ago in America, where marrying outside of your religion, or ethnicity, was looked down upon.The book is full of wonderful characters, but Elizabeth (Lizzy) Bennet is, in my opinion, the star. Her character is so wonderfully and fully realized that at times I felt her jumping off the page and directly into my life.Liza, a fellow member and friend on Goodreads, informed me that she had read the book twice and still was not sure if the ending was 'sad' or 'funny.' To me, it was funny and exceptionally rewarding but sad to think that a lady's livelihood depended more on the wealth and rank of your partner than love.Quite an amazing book.

There must be many thousands of digital versions of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. I got this because I wanted to compare it with another that I had, and didn't realize until it was on my kindle that the name of the author on the cover page is incorrect!! The author is NOT Charlotte Bronte!!!!! This is so inexplicable and appalling a mistake, I had to write and mention it so that it can (hopefully) be corrected. The rest of the text is fine. I don't want it on my kindle, and have deleted it. How anyone could have confused Jane Austen and Charlotte Bronte (author of Jane Eyre) is beyond me.

This book is just gorgeous! I already own a few copies of Pride and Prejudice so I didn't need another but this was too cute to pass up. It's a generous size, the colors are bold and bright and the illustrations are whimsical and fun. A great gift for any jane Austen fan, even if she already owns a few copies ;)

"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen started off annoying me and ended up enchanting me. Up until about page one hundred I found this book vexing, frivolous and down right tedious. I now count myself as a convert to the Austen cult.I must confess I have been known to express an antipathy for anything written or set before 1900. I just cannot get down with corsets, outdoor plumbing and buggy rides. Whenever someone dips a quill into an inkwell my eyes glaze over. This is a shortcoming I readily own up to but have no desire to correct. So I admit to not starting this book with the highest of hopes. I did really enjoy Ang Lee's "Sense and Sensibility" however and so when my friend threw the gauntlet down I dutifully picked it up.Boy did I hate him at first. To get anywhere with this book one has to immerse oneself in the realities of life and marriage in the nineteenth century. At first all this talk of entailment and manners just left me cold. I liked the language to be sure. Austen's dialogue is delightful through out but dialogue alone (no matter how delicious) does not a great novel make.A hundred pages or so in though I started to see what a shrewd eye for character this Austen woman had. Mr. Collins was the first person I marvelled at. His character springs forth fully formed as a total but somehow loveable ass. From that point on I found much to love about this book. I was so into it by the end that I was laughing at some characters, sympathizing with others and clucking my tongue at an unhappy few. In short I was completely absorbed.In conclusion I must now count myself a fan of Miss Austen's novels (and not just their fim adaptations) and do so look forward to acqauinting myself with more of her work in the future. "Emma" anyone?

The print edition of this book is awful. It's an awkward size so line lengths are too long to read comfortably. It is evident that basically no work was put into laying out the text of the book: line spacing is too close, there's no page breaks before chapters, chapter headings are the same typeface as the surrounding text. Typography is general is very poor: quotation marks that should be “curly” are instead "straight", for example. This book looks like someone just copy-pasted the raw text of the book, slapped a cover on it and called it a day. Zero effort went into making this. Do not buy this.

The size of this book is way too big like a magazine. I am not sure why you decided to print a book like this. The feeling of this book is like it was printed from a PDF file. I think the purpose of these kind book is to be read, carried and stored easily. Magazine can be printed bigger because it needs space to arrange the pictures. And why I buy a paper book and not going with digital? Because I want the feeling of reading books! Especially these kind of classic books!Very right hand one is the one I got from B&N bookstore. Much better feeling to read. And it's cheaper.

Rather, we are promised the unity of "One Lord, one Faith, one Baptism" -- the mark of believers across all times and places. I found this to be Wilson's most important contribution to the book.His treatment of the remaining issues is well done. You won't find much in the way of strawmen. Instead, he speaks as to his friends, trying to have them take an honest look at themselves (and at their friends on the other side of the Tiber.With Doug Wilson, I look forward to the day when we can say 'Soli Deo Gloria' and 'ad Majorem dei Gloriam' in unison. But with a unity based on truth and not on group-hub ecumenism.

I am a convinced protestant but this book did not convince me. Wilson’s style is sometimes witty and he certainly started out well on p. X of the Introduction by stating that “true catholicity begins with defining catholicity” implying that we need to always distinguish between the use of “catholic” when referring to the universal Christian church and the use of Catholic, capital C, when referring to the Roman Catholic Church. The two are not synonymous.Wilson makes a few valid points. However, there are no endnotes and only 14 footnotes in the entire 186 page book so finding and substantiating his claims is nearly impossible to do. Some of his claims are a bit confusing such as his claim on p. 22 that Christians will persevere to the end because we are the bones of Christ, “we are His bones and so the elect will persevere.”I don’t think Wilson has contributed much to advancing the truth on this subject. A much better and well documented treatment of this subject is The Roman Catholic Controversy by James R White.

Not an easy read. The Title is catchy, but the writing is something one plows through. Ordered it for my husband (who is very educated) and he thought the writing was thick, not substantial thick, but obtuse.

Just a repeat of the usual misinformation about Catholicism. I was a Protestant and am now a happy Catholic. I used to believe the straw man arguments until I actually read what the Catholic Church really believes. I found my Bible is a Catholic book. Visit [...] for the truth.
